Kittery Womenade was lucky to be the recipient of a generous donation by The Fabulous Find thrift shop in Kittery Maine. The Fabulous Find donates all profits to local charities, and we are so grateful to be selected for the month of February. Thank you to all the shoppers who support this store and their mission.

Marathon raises $65,000, six Womenades benefit

On Saturday, November 9th six local Womenade groups were the beneficiary of proceeds raised during the race. Each group was awarded about $10,000! Sponsors for this years race include: Ocean Properties, Runner’s Alley, Mizuno, Ocean Bank, Tradewinds Mechanical Services, Stonewall Kitchen, Seabrook Station, Portsmouth Hospital, Keane and MacDonald, York Hospital, Dr. Viena Posada, and the Weathervane Restaurant. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped on race day!

November 2009 – A special thank you to Marianne Janik for her continued support of Kittery Womenade. Marianne has been a huge contributor to our organization with donations of sales as well as beautiful jewelry for raffles. She brings wonderful energy to every event.

Second annual chili cook-off

October 2009 – Another great showing of culinary skills from local people. Thirteen chili concoctions competed for the ultimate prize – bragging rights for the year! Our winner was local chef, Neil Maclead. Most creative chili was the seafood recipe of Jeremy Gagner. Thanks to Loco Coco’s Mexican Restaurant, Calphalon Outlet Storre, Just Us Chickens, Esse Studio Salon and Brynne & Carson Chocolates for donating prizes and raffle items.

Second annual yard sale

August 2009 – Big thanks to Piscataqua Animal Hospital for donating their parking lot for our 2nd annual yard sale. We had fantastic donations from our friends and neighbors. Special thanks to two 7-year olds who raised almost $100 selling lemonade in the 95 degree heat. Collectively, almost $500 was raised during the event.

June 2009 – Kittery Womenade was invited to a joint party with Portsmouth Womenaid in Portsmouth, NH. The evening benefited both our organizations. Thanks to all who donated.

Community night at Flatbread

June 2010 – Portsmouth Flatbread Company gives back to the community every Tuesday . A different non-profit is featured and proceeds from each pizza sold are donated to that organization.
